Swedish Match has played an important role in the industrial and commercial sector in Sweden since the early 20th century. The company develops, manufactures and sells quality products with market-leading brands in the product areas snus,  moist snuff, and products such as matches and lighters.

Swedish Match is a traditional B2B-producer who has chosen to implement an omnichannel strategy for a seamless and inspiring consumer experience. Swedish Match works continuously on adapting the in-store experience to the digital age in order to deliver a homogenous experience in all channels. Swedish Match wants to differentiate itself from its competitors and the omnichannel initiative will strengthen their partners’ long-term business.

Assignment

The online store for snus was launched in Sweden 2017. Swedish Match chose Storm Commerce e-commerce platform after an extensive pre-study for numerous reasons:

  1. A headless e-commerce platform supports omnichannel strategy & future functionality requirements.
  2. A headless e-commerce platform is decoupled from the CMS. New applications and backend systems can be easily integrated. A  futureproof solution.
  3. Storm Commerce e-commerce platform has a powerful PIM (Production Information Management tool).

Storm Commerce platform met Swedish Match requirements on security, flexibility and scalability and automates numerous manual processes. The platform also provides an advanced subscription service for individual snus blends.

Sportson

Sportson was founded in Gothenburg in 1980 and is today run as a franchise concept with 23 stores in 14 locations around the country. Sportson sells top-branded bicycles.

With Storm Commerce platform, the cycling specialist chain Sportson has started selling directly to consumers via e-commerce and established solutions and concepts to meet new demands from both the private and public sectors.
